Background
Knit & Purl is an online shop specializing in high-quality craft supplies, offering a wide variety of yarn, accessories, and essential tools for creative projects. Catering primarily to knitters and crocheters, the shop provides everything needed to bring handmade creations to life, from luxurious fibers to practical notions.
I personally am a crafter and picked this project prompt to work on that specific experience.

Navigation
I defined main navigation and sub-navigation items. For this project, since it's fictional, I sort them based on my experience and needs as a user.
Design
Before I start designing I usually define guidelines for myself
I start with rough site structures
I create text and color styles, pick icons and a spacing system (usually 8pt grid system)
I start early on with local components (can be very rough), to manage changes faster
I use auto-layout from the beginning (don't want to manage spacing manually!)
When I design it's easier for me to build the "big picture" first, adding and iterating along the way to see how the hierarchy of elements works in the whole context.
